1.Chiang Mai Flower Festival
Chiang Mai is a beautiful city in the Northern part of Thailand and very popular with tourists. Called the "Rose of Thailand" Chiang Mai has amazing hilly landscapes and great places to explore. Chiang Mai is famous for a number of historical temples. Rich in cultural traditions and modern development Chaing offers plenty for kids as well as solo travellers.
Chiang Mai Flower festival bring life and colour to the streets for a couple of weeks with cultural festivities, parades, music concerts, floats and street markets. The festival gives an opportunity to explore the rich history of 5000 years old civilizations. The highlights of the festival is a vintage car parade and beautiful floats decorated with fresh flowers to mark this event.
The festival is celebrated on the first weekend of February leading up to Saturday when parades and main festivities of the event are organized.
2. Chinese New Year Festival
Chinese New Year is celebrated in January/February in all major cities of Thailand. Chinese new year is celebrated based on the siting of the moon. The festival starts with dragon dances imparting the blessing to business owners and spectators. The festivals are marked by visiting the temples to get the blessing for a prosperous new year. It is a great time of the year for a family get together which involve the exchange of gifts and participating in various celebration all through the month.
The year 2019 will be the "Year of the Pig".

The old city Ayutthaya had a long history of Chinese influence that helped set up of modern-day Bangkok. The entire kingdom is marked with a number of prominent Wats and Temples.
3. Valentines Day
A celebration of love and lovers, Valentine's day mark an important day in Thailand, with the cities and town flooded with gifts of love and festivities to celebrate this occasion. If you happen to be in Thailand around the 14th of February, make sure you have your plans chalked out including booking an event such as a Romantic River Cruise in Bangkok or a romantic drinks at the Skybars in some of the prominent hotels in Bangkok.
